Search Function

The MSP view search function allows you to quickly locate records of a certain type or name. A search field appears at the top of all pages in the MSP view, except the Reports page, which has separate search functions by category. For more information about searching through configured reports, see Reporting.

The search has two filtering controls. One is a top level control, allowing you to search under a category, for example, requests. The other control is advanced filtering, allowing you to add a layer of filtering on the category. Each advanced set of filters is specific to the category that you select.
Note: When you navigate to a page by clicking the tab in the menu bar, the category filter automatically changes to the page type. For example, if you navigate to the Engagements page, the category drop down is set to Engagements.

You can use the category drop down to select the record category to search. From each section, click the Advanced link to open a section to display the advanced filter options.

For more information on each category's advanced features, see the following sections:

To perform a search by category, select the category from the drop down, enter free text, optionally configure advanced filters, and press return, or click the icon. If you have configured advanced options, in the advanced options section, click .
