Client User Permissions

Client users are managers for contingent workers. The managers can have various permissions, including creating requisitions, and approving time card entries. Each user configuration determines what data they have permission to view.

These permissions determine the level of access for a user, based on their user role. For more information about user roles, see User Roles.

Permission Description
Approver - Client User has access to a subset of requisition/engagement information, and can approve if assigned through approval routing.
Approver - Edit User has access to a subset of requisition/engagement information, and can approve/edit if assigned through approval routing.
Finance - Client User has access to a subset of requisition/engagement information, and can edit if assigned through approval routing. User also has limited access to reporting functionality.
Note: This permission does not grant approval permissions for time cards.
Manager User can create/edit requisition/engagement information except financial information for an engagement. User can also create/edit for approval routing.

User can approve time cards.

User can edit the quote end date for project engagements. Edit permission must be enabled for the client organization. For more information about this feature, see Client Settings.

Manager - Non Edit Req User can create a new requisition, view all requisitions/engagements, and has limited edit permissions for existing requisitions/engagements. User can also create/edit for approval routing.

User can approve time cards.

User cannot close/terminate engagements.

Manager - Non Edit Req (MS Exception) User can create a new requisition, view all requisitions/engagements, and has limited edit permissions for existing requisitions/engagements. User can also create/edit for approval routing.

User can approve time cards.

User cannot close/terminate engagements.

User can edit the estimated end date for Managed Services engagements. Edit permission must be enabled for the client organization. For more information about this feature, see Client Settings.

Manager Admin/Supervisor User can create/edit requisition/engagement information except financial information for an engagement. User can also create/edit for approval routing. User can access reporting functionality.

User can approve time cards.

Report Admin User has access to reporting functionality.

If this role in the client organization requires access to data for all departments, you can set the Assign All Active Departments setting in the user record. This enables the Report Admin role to access all department data, active or inactive, for the client organization while using the reporting function. If the user has this set, any departments added to the client organization are automatically available to the Report Admin.

Right Sourcing Discovery User is routed after login to the VMS Discovery Dashboard.
Sr. Mgmt (Director and Above) - Client User can view all requisition/engagement information, has access to reporting functionality, and can also create/edit for approval routing.
Note: This user cannot approve time cards.

User can own (create and modify) master budgets. For more information about master budgets, see Master Budgets.

View All Records under Departments/Cost Centers User can view information and run reports for departments/cost centers that they are not assigned to.
View Onboarding Compliance User can view compliance items assigned during the onboarding process in the On/Off Boarding Dashboard in the Manager view. If assigned, this permission allows a user to view/edit items that are restricted to users with this permission.

If you or the hiring manager for the engagement delegate approval actions to another client manager in the organization, the delegate must have this permission to take action. If the delegate has this permission, but not the hiring manager, then the delegate can only view on/offboarding items in the dashboard. The delegate cannot open items and view details, and cannot download/view attachments. See Delegation.

Scheduling Access User can modify a worker's work schedule. Only applicable to RightSourcing clients.
View All Master Budgets Not applicable.
View Sensitive Data User can view unencrypted custom field information.
Pay Intel Access User can access Pay Intel applications, if enabled.
