New Billing for Projects
Project engagements have different billing categories that worker billing. Where a project can have defined workers with bill rates, the project can be structured to have deliverables billed against. These deliverables can be, for example, a quantity of items, each with a certain price. Deliverable and worker billing rates are always defined in the project details, or the SOW document.
Additional capabilities for project billing include:
- Project tax calculations now use the engagement's Tax Location field, ensuring accurate results across multi-jurisdiction projects. See Tax Methods and Location Tax Rates.
- Project billings can be allocated to specific period amounts using the Allocate to Period option, providing more granular financial tracking. See Add a Project Billing Item.
- A new invoice template variable displays milestone billing amounts combined with MSP up fees in project billing tables. See Invoice Template Variables.
