Customizable Billing Report

This report produces comprehensive billing data related to invoiced timecards in the system.
Note: The application automatically suggests values for some report filter fields.

Begin typing, for example, the last name of the person (worker, manager, and so on). If you enter the first name of the person, the system does not automatically suggest a name.

The Billing Rate Type Detail Report supports BYOK encryption. See Bring Your Own Key Encryption.

Field Description
Operational Unit From the drop down, select the operational unit to filter by. Only OpUnits configured for the client organization display in this field.
Layout Select the report layout.
<department> Select the name of the department to filter by. This field is set to 'All' by default.

If a client organization has sub-departments configured, another field appears that allows you to select sub-departments of the parent department.

Worker Name Select the name of the worker to filter by. The default value for this field is 'All' by default.
ManagerSelect the client manager name associated with the engagement. This field is set to 'All' by default.
Time&Expense Approver Select the time & expense approver to filter by. This field is set to 'All' by default.
Supplier Select the name of the supplier/vendor to filter by. This field is set to 'All' by default.
Billing Item Status Click a status value to filter results by. You can select multiple statuses, or select 'All'.
Billing Item Status Reason Click a reason value to filter results by. You can select multiple statuses, or select 'All'.
Invoice OptionSelect the invoice option for the engagement. This field is set to 'All' by default. See Invoicing.
Invoice Select the generated invoice to narrow the data set. This field is set to 'All' by default.

Supplier Invoice Select the generated supplier invoice to narrow the data set. This field is set to 'All' by default.
Earnings E/DFrom the drop down, select the earnings end date to filter by. You can configure a date range. Select Date Range From-To, and then use the From and To fields to configure dates.

Date ApprovedFrom the drop down, select the date that the billing was approved to filter by. You can configure a date range. Select Date Range From-To, and then use the From and To fields to configure dates.

PO Number Select the purchase order number to filter by. This field is set to 'All' by default.
Billing Item Type Select the billing item type to filter by. This field is set to 'All' by default.

If you select 'Expense', the Description field in the report output concatenates values as 'Mileage | From | Destination | 2nd Destination'.

Did Not Work Billing Items From the drop down, select to filter by billable items, or by items marked 'Did not Work', or both. This field is set to 'Billable Only' by default.

Billing items on a time card can be marked to reflect that a worker did not work for either that day, or the entire time period. You can mark a billing entry as 'Did not Work' to create a billing entry with no billable hours. For more information about adding this setting for a work period, see Add a Work Period.

Customized Expense Categories Select the expense category to filter by. This field is set to 'All' by default.

Expense categories are custom category fields configured for the client organization. For more information about these fields, see Expense Category.

Multi-Engagement Billing This setting filters the report as follows:
  • All - All billing items (no filtering).
  • Show only lines for workers billing across multiple engagements - Only displays billing items for workers that are assigned to multiple engagements, and bill for those engagements.
DirectSource PRO Billings This setting filters the report as follows:
  • All - All billing items (no filtering).
  • DirectSource PRO Billings - Only displays billings for engagements filled using the DirectSource PRO tool.
