MSP Organizations in the System
An MSP organization is a top level organization that defines all data relationships
beneath it. The definition is a managed service provider for some contingent labor type,
as contracted by a client organization. All client information, supplier information,
and user data is unique to an MSP organization, unless you have permission to view/edit
across organizations (SysAdmin user type).
Note: The system
administrator user type is the 'MSP Admin'. This role gives a user a subset of
SysAdmin permissions for client organizations assigned to the MSP organization. See
MSP Admin User Permissions.
There are two types of MSP organization:
- Magnit Affiliated MSP - Organizations that use the PeopleSoft ERP associated with Magnit Global. This includes tax calculation (if configured).
- Non-Magnit affiliated organizations - Organizations use third party ERP, with tax calculation configured to be manual, or calculated by the application.
The MSP organization configuration allows you to set up tax rates for a country by tax
type, define classification names for correct coding with an ERP, and define help desk
'Contact Us' information that appears for a client manager in the
Manager view.
Note: Some information in the MSP organization
configuration requires the SysAdmin user type for viewing/editing.
