Approval Email Notifications

Email notifications for approvals are sent according to the following logic:
  • An approver needs to take action on an item, when the approver is the next approver in the approval chain.
  • A previously notified approver is no longer required to approve an item.
  • A rejected item that needed approval needs the approval chain to be restarted.
  • The hiring manager for a request is notified when an item is approved, rejected, or the approval chain is restarted.
  • A new approver is added for an item by another approver.
  • If the approval chain is modified.
  • For supplier acceptance, if the supplier has the email notification set up for the job category.
