Instructional Text Configuration

You can configure the application to replace the standard labels for fields and informational text with custom text that adheres to a client organization's styling and tone.

Customization is done in the following ways:
  • Text in the user interface - Default text appears in the user interface as help or 'hint' text in the area where a user takes action. Messages include confirmation and warning messages that display when users take specific actions. Some messages do not display until that action is taken.

    For interface sections that only display items that a user needs to be alerted about, toucan customize the empty state text, that is, the text that appears when there are no items to view. For example, in the Manager view, if a client manager does not have any resumes to review, the Review Talent section and page displays 'You have no talent to review. Recently submitted candidates and quotes to your open requests will appear here'. You can customize this text as needed.

  • Client county specific text - Default text for surveys and the worker diversity questionnaire is customizable for each country in the client organization. This text only displays to users if you have enabled the survey or diversity features. For more information about how to enable these features, see the following:
  • Static Interface Labels - Labels that appear in the interface can be modified. This also includes the title of the item when you hover over the item's icon. For more information about customizing labels, see Customizations.
