Redline a Document in the VMS

The redlining feature for project requests allows you to collaborate on the SOW document within the VMS. When collaborating, stakeholders are added to the document and can add comments directly to the document text.

You cannot edit any of the request details during the redlining process. All of the edit buttons, for example, in the Details tab are hidden or disabled. You also cannot add any details, for example, to the request Quote tab. If redlining is completed, or if redlining is canceled by the process owner, you can add details to the project request as needed.
Note: Documents undergoing negotiation have status='Pending-Pending Redlining'.

The redlining process owner is set to the MSP on the request by default, and cannot be modified.

You can collaborate with three user types in the VMS: MSPs, suppliers, and client managers. All users must exist in the system, and have access to their client or supplier organization's data. For more information about the redlining process:

Electronic signature is not required for the redlining feature, however, your client organization might require that a document is eSigned before the engagement is filled. You can require any of the collaborators on the document to complete the eSigning process individually, for example, only require the supplier/vendor to sign the document. For more information about this setting, see SOW.
