Statement Of Work Document for a Project Request
A Statement Of Work (SOW) document can be configured using two methods: using a project request and compiled into a document or using a template. Preconfigured templates can be modified and tracked using the redlining feature. Once the request is filled, the document is attached to the engagement, and can be downloaded as a .pdf.
Preconfigured document templates are be pre-written, that is, preconfigured with all of the necessary language required for the project. Additionally, the document can be configured to contain variables that are populated from the request when it is saved. If you enable SOW templates for a client organization, they can be generated for each project request that you create. You can enable/disable the document generation at the request level. For more information about SOW templates, see Configure an SOW Template.
The document is routed (emailed) to an intended recipient configured in the SOW section of the request Details tab. You can print the document and have physical signatures placed on it, or you can route the document for electronic signature. For more information about setting up this information, see SOW.
