Worker ID Check

The VMS supports the ability for a client organization to verify the identification of a contingent worker or independent contractor before they start work. This is a contractual requirement in some countries.
Note:
The Worker ID Check functionality MUST be enabled for a client country by a SysAdmin user (SysAdmin > Configuration > General Info > General Configuration > <country> > International Onboarding Integrations > Active).
Note:
The ID Check functionality is only supported for Staffing requests.
Note:
Magnit supports data anonymization and encryption of identification information.

The ID check functionality uses an API call to a vendor. When the call to the vendor is made, a link to the service is generated and send via email notification. The worker uploads a picture and a short video of themselves for verification.

The check is added as an onboarding item. The item has two settings, digital verification, or in-person verification, or both. If in-person verification is selected, the worker will need to set up a time to present their identification documents to Magnit Program Representatives in the client country. The item can be added to an existing (default) onboarding template. It can also be added on the On/Offboard tab at the engagement level.

You can locate exiting ID check items using the On/Off Boarding Dashboard.

If the service accepts the uploads, the service returns the acceptance codes and updates the onboarding item. If there is an error, the service returns an inconclusive message. The MSP can review the uploaded images and either pass the images, or create a new version of the onboarding item, prompting the supplier to re-enter the worker's identification information and re-trigger the service calls.
