Whitespace Tracking Configuration

Note:
Whitespace Tracking Configuration applies exclusively to PRO Unlimited MSP users. The fields and configuration settings described on this page are not applicable to other MSP organizations or to client managers, workers, or suppliers.
By default, the Whitespace GP Tracking fields are visible to all eligible MSP users for every client. Use this configuration to restrict or fully block the fields for specific clients, countries, and requisition types.
Note:
This is an opt-out model — a client that is not listed in the configuration always shows the fields. Add a client to the configuration only when you need to restrict or hide the fields for that client.

Rule format

Rule Effect
Client only Fields are hidden for that client, for every country and requisition type.
Client + country Fields are hidden for that client, in that country only.
Client + country, Allow list Only the listed requisition types show the fields for that client and country; all others are hidden.
Client + country, Block list All requisition types show the fields for that client and country except the listed ones.

A client can have multiple rules — for example, one country fully blocked and another restricted to specific requisition types.

Supported requisition types

Requisition type Covers
Staffing / Payroll Staffing (recruited) and Payroll (referred) requisitions — always grouped together.
Project Project requisitions only.
Project Bizval Project Business Validation requisitions.
Project Worker Project Worker requisitions.
Managed Services Managed Services requisitions.
Direct Hire Direct Hire requisitions.

Examples

Configuration Result
Client 10001, country 1, Allow Staffing and Payroll Fields show only for Staffing and Payroll requisitions in country 1 for that client.
Client 20002, no country specified Fields are hidden for that client in every country and requisition type.
Client 30003, country 1, Block Project and Project Bizval Fields are hidden only for Project and Project Bizval requisitions in country 1; all other requisition types in country 1 still show the fields.

When no matching rule is found

  • A client not listed in the configuration always shows the fields.
  • A listed client with no rule for the request's country shows the fields for that country (only the matching country's rule is enforced).
  • An Allow rule hides the fields for any requisition type not on the list.
  • A Block rule hides the fields only for the requisition types on the list.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Cause and fix
Fields are never visible for an MSP user The user's account is not associated with the Magnit MSP organization. Confirm the user is set up under the Magnit (PRO Unlimited) MSP organization.
Fields are hidden even though the client is not in the configuration The MSP user is not assigned to the client. Assign the MSP representative to the client.
Visibility does not update after changing the work location Hard-refresh the browser (Ctrl+Shift+R) to pick up the latest page updates, then re-select the work location.
A configuration change does not seem to take effect In the new (Angular) request wizard, an application restart may be required after the change. In the legacy request pages, changes take effect immediately without a restart.
