Example Work Calendar Definition

Work calendars contain actual dates that correspond to the dates defined for an engagement. Calendar definitions can be used when a client organization has periods of irregular work intervals during an engagement. In this example, a work period is defined to accept worker time entries for a month period.
Important: The expected work days should include any PTO that a client wants to grant a worker during a time period. The grace days value is the number of days that a worker can miss from the total expected work days and still be considered as working the full period.
Important: The system only generates billing line records when the end of a valuable work period is reached.

In the Calendar GenInfo section of Billing/Invoicing > Time Entry > Work Schedule > Calendar, the 'Work Period' option is selected from the Type drop down.

In the Calendar Date List section, a line is added for January 2020.

Note that for monthly invoicing, the start date and end date spans the entire month. The number of expected work days is entered as '1' because the worker enters work for the entire month in a monthly time card. For a four month engagement, enter an additional line to the list, one for each month.
